Become a Community Ambassador for Equity in Southwest Portland!

The Southwest Corridor Equity Coalition (SWEC) is now accepting applications for our 2025 Community Ambassador Program—a leadership opportunity for community members ready to organize, advocate, and drive change in the Southwest Corridor.

We’re especially inviting Black, Indigenous, immigrant, refugee, and low-income community members to apply—people whose lived experiences and leadership are essential to shaping just and equitable policy.

What to Expect:

• Three Saturday sessions: August 23, September 6 & 20 (9:30 AM–2:00 PM)

• Hands-on learning about housing justice, transportation equity, and anti-displacement

• Leadership and organizing training

• Opportunities to stay involved through SWEC campaigns and workgroups

• A stipend upon program completion

Eligibility:
Applicants must live, work, study, worship, or own a business in the Southwest Corridor and attend at least two sessions.
